Meet Taunya <\/h2>\r\n
\r\n
Taunya Nelson is an Embodiment\/Eating Psychology Coach that\u2019s trauma\/resilience-informed, Personal Trainer\/Fitness Guide and Conscious Relationship Leader based in Maui, Hawaii. She is certified by The Institute for the Psychology of Eating, The American Council on Exercise (ACE), Safe Conversations & The Embody Lab Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy (ISTT) with over 3 decades of experience in the industry.
\nTaunya's father was a former Olympian, her brother was a body-builder and owned a World Gym. She first worked in Southern California as a group-fitness instructor, then as a personal trainer in Lake Tahoe, where she lived for 13 years. She brought her talents to the island of Maui over 20 years ago, & began health\/life coaching there.<\/p>\n

She enjoys bringing movement, health and balance into people's lives, with the motive of helping them embody their unlimited potential. Balancing spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and relational health is vital. A big part of that is having a healthy relationship with food, body, and most importantly, yourself, which she can help you build.<\/p>\n

Taunya has an intense passion for learning and growth, and loves empowering others. Her inspiration to do this work is from her own journey back to health from past traumas, which triggered disordered eating, exercise addiction & ulcerative colitis.<\/p>\n

Taunya has been married for over 40 years and has 2 adult daughters. When she's not coaching clients, researching for their sessions, training in the gym, developing programs, or creating healthy menus, you can find her hiking with her husband, scuba diving, enjoying the ocean, dancing, trying new restaurants, going to movies, listening to inspirational podcasts, reading or traveling and snowboarding.<\/div>\r\n
